The space

Your stay begins with an airport transfer to the villa, where you’ll be welcomed with fresh fruit and flowers. Daily continental breakfast is included, as are the services of a Thai chef, villa manager and housekeeper. Spend blissful days lounging by the swimming pool, trying local fare on the barbecue or snacking at the al-fresco dining table for twelve, followed by laid-back nights in front of the satellite TVs and surround-sound system.

Baan Mika feels like your own private resort, laid out in pavilions around the swimming pool and facing the sea. You’ll want to spend most of your time in the shade of the open-sided living and dining areas, but there’s also a dining room and fully equipped kitchen that can be enclosed with glass walls if you’d like.

The villa’s six bedrooms are honeymoon-worthy retreats with en-suite bathrooms, lounge areas and access to the pool terrace. There are two bedrooms with king beds and four bedrooms with two twin beds each; several also have al-fresco showers.

A stay at Baan Mika puts the white sands of Plai Laem right at your doorstep—just descend the stairs to put your feet in the shallows. It’s also a short drive from three other popular beaches, including Chaweng Beach, as well as local attractions like the Big Buddha and the shops and eateries of Fisherman’s Village in Bophut. Golfers will appreciate the two golf courses within easy reach.
